Terms of service

The terms for using Specita workspaces, release evidence, integrations, and available plans.

Effective October 6, 2026

Specita helps your team review release evidence. You control your connected tools and remain responsible for release decisions, provider permissions, and the content you submit.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the Specita website and release-operations service at specita.com, operated by Muhammad Taimoor. “Specita,” “we,” and “our” refer to this service operator; “you” refers to the person or organization using it. Contact support@specita.com for questions about these terms or the service operator.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service. The privacy policy explains how information is handled.

2. Accounts and workspace access

You must be of legal age to enter an agreement where you live. Provide accurate account information, keep sign-in accounts and connection credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Workspace owners and admins manage membership and connected services. You are responsible for the permissions you grant and the people you invite. Signing in does not authorize access to a workspace where you are not a member. Do not share session links, reporting secrets, API keys, or another person’s identity.

3. What the service provides

Specita records releases and reported deliveries, organizes available source, runtime, and store evidence, generates release briefs, and supports team responses and configured notifications. Features depend on the integrations, data, permissions, and plan available to your workspace.

The service is an early release. Features can be incomplete, unavailable, or subject to limits. Roadmap items, sample content, and planned prices are not a promise that a capability is available today. Delivery, source risk, store state, runtime health, and human decisions are separate signals. Missing evidence is not evidence that an app is healthy.

Specita does not currently push changes to your code, deploy your services, or publish your store builds. A brief or notification does not authorize those actions.

4. Your content and authorization

You retain your rights in the content you submit or connect. You give us permission to access, process, store, and transmit that content as needed to provide the features you use, including external AI analysis and configured notifications described in the privacy policy. This is not permission for us to sell your source code or use it to train a Specita-operated model.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for this processing, including permission from your organization and from people whose information appears in the content. Do not submit content whose confidentiality, privacy, or contractual restrictions are incompatible with the service and its providers.

Keep unnecessary personal information, secrets, and regulated or highly sensitive information out of repository snippets, release reports, notes, and support messages. The integration forms are the intended place for supported connection credentials.

5. AI results and release decisions

AI-generated summaries and findings can be wrong, incomplete, or based on limited evidence. Verify results against the linked source and provider records. You remain responsible for testing, investigation, release approval, rollback, and other operational decisions.

A successful delivery report does not prove what is running now. Recorded-session metrics do not establish installed-version share or unique-user adoption. A changed-file match or rate increase does not prove causation. Specita is not a guarantee that defects will be detected or incidents prevented.

6. Third-party services and notifications

Connected providers have their own terms, fees, permissions, limits, availability, and data practices. Review their consent screens and use the least access needed. The current GitHub repository integration requests a broad repo scope that includes write capability, although Specita’s current source integration uses it for reads.

You choose notification destinations and are responsible for who can read them. Briefs sent to Slack or email can remain there after you disconnect the integration. Delivery can fail, be delayed, or be duplicated when provider acceptance is uncertain. Do not rely on a notification as your only incident or release control.

Disconnecting in Specita is separate from revoking a key or OAuth grant at the provider and separate from deleting previously imported evidence. Provider changes or revoked access can make evidence stale or unavailable.

7. Acceptable use

Use Specita only for lawful, authorized purposes. You must not:

  • Access another workspace, impersonate another person, or bypass access, rate, package, or security controls.
  • Upload malicious material, exploit the service, disrupt other customers, or use it to distribute spam or unlawful content.
  • Submit fabricated delivery or runtime evidence as genuine, or use generated findings to misrepresent a person, product, or incident.
  • Connect accounts, repositories, apps, or data that you are not authorized to access and process.

8. Plans, billing, and refunds

Public paid checkout is not currently available. Any enabled sandbox checkout is for testing, not a live purchase. Planned pricing is provisional. If we make paid plans available, the price, billing interval, limits, renewal terms, and applicable taxes will be shown before you purchase.

Where a paid purchase is offered through Polar, Polar acts as merchant of record and handles the payment transaction under the checkout terms. We receive the billing status needed to provide the applicable service. A checkout return page alone is not proof that payment or plan activation succeeded.

For an active subscription, use the available customer portal or contact support@specita.com for cancellation or billing help. Any renewal and cancellation effect must follow the terms shown for that purchase. Request refunds through the applicable payment provider or contact us for assistance. These terms do not remove refund, withdrawal, or other rights required by applicable law.

Changes to an existing paid price or recurring charge will be communicated before taking effect as required by applicable law. A downgrade or quota limit does not itself delete release evidence. Additional capacity or analysis can be limited by the applicable plan.

9. Availability and service changes

We may change features, perform maintenance, or limit access to protect the service and its users. We may suspend access for unauthorized activity, serious misuse, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to address it.

Unless separately agreed in writing, no service-level agreement, uptime target, recovery time, or continuous-backup guarantee is included. Keep authoritative copies of your source, releases, provider records, and operational recovery information outside Specita.

10. Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and generated results are provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or detection of every defect. We do not guarantee the availability or correctness of information from third-party providers.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by reliance on incomplete evidence, AI results, missed notifications, or third-party outages. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or limits a right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

11. Ending use and deleting information

You can stop using Specita, disconnect integrations, and ask support@specita.com to close your account or delete a workspace you are authorized to manage. If you belong to an organization-managed workspace, its administrator may need to approve the request. Cancellation of a paid subscription and deletion of an account are separate actions.

Closing access does not immediately erase every audit, billing, backup, or externally delivered record. Retention and deletion follow the privacy policy and applicable law. We will not grant access to other accounts or workspaces to satisfy a request.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the current version. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law. Continued use after the notified effective date means acceptance of the updated terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.

For questions about these terms, access, billing, or the service operator, contact support@specita.com. Nothing here requires arbitration, removes mandatory consumer protections, or prevents a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
